🤖 AI Meeting Bot for Incident Bridges

Getting on a call is the best way to collaborate with your teams and quickly resolve incidents. However, virtual meetings are a black box: discussions are lost, decisions are forgotten, and your incident is no longer a complete record of what you and your team did.

Introducing Rootly’s AI Meeting Bot

Say goodbye to manual note-taking and fragmented communication: Rootly’s AI Meeting Bot empowers your teams to collaborate where work is already happening. Rootly’s AI Meeting Bot embeds your virtual meeting conversations directly into your incident.

  • Meeting Bot will automatically join the call, and immediately begin transcribing and summarizing the conversation.
  • Your Rootly Incident will stay up to date based on your conversation, ensuring that nothing gets lost and your team stays organized.

What’s new?

During an incident: focus on resolution

The AI Meeting Bot reduces manual overhead, letting you concentrate on getting your systems back online. Here’s how:

  • Incident Onboarding: Talk to the Meeting Bot to catch up quickly on the incident, including discussions in the meeting room.
  • Real-time Updates: Automatically adds key events to your incident timeline as they happen.
  • Actionable Insights: Creates and assigns follow-ups, ensuring tasks are ready for action post-incident.
After the incident: break siloes and share context

Once the incident is resolved, Rootly’s AI Meeting Bot helps you seamlessly transition to postmortem tasks:

  • Incident Summaries: Automatically generate a complete history of your incident, including meeting summaries, to empower your postmortem tasks.
  • Perfect Replay: Provides call recordings and transcripts to onboard new team members or analyze incident handling.
Enterprise ready

Designed with enterprise needs in mind, the AI Meeting Bot offers:

  • Support all virtual meeting rooms: Rootly’s AI Meeting Bot can integrate into your preferred virtual meeting tool, including Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex, and Slack Huddles.
  • Scalable Collaboration: Support for multiple breakout rooms per incident, enabling focused team efforts.
  • Enhanced Security: Control what your Meeting Bot records to ensure confidential information is kept secure.
  • Data Privacy: Rootly is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of privacy and security. Read more about our data philosophy here.

🌝 New & Improved

🆕 Teams can now switch between multiple GitHub organizations on the Integrations page in Rootly. They no longer have to delete and re-install in order to switch to a different GitHub organization.

💅 The New Incident Form can be optionally re-prompted when transitioning from In-Triage to Active status. This gives responders the opportunity to enter additional data before officially marking an incident as active.

💅 Added the ability to clear existing Labels field on Update GitLab Issue workflow action.

💅 Updated the SSO behaviour to ask for the end-users’s work email instead of their email domain to help avoid any confusions on the term “domain”.

🐛 Fixed intermittent issue with alert-based round robin paging not picking the correct subsequent notification target.

🐛 Fixed issue with some users unable to use the 📌emoji to add Slack messages to the timeline.
